Do we consider sharks being chokers now?

Sharks are a good side… Played Super Rugby final and currie cup Final. But they did not win any of the 2. Do we say they chokers?

For the passed 3 years Sharks have become an infamous force in SA rugby Date back to 2010 when sharks almost made Semis of super rugby and won Currie Cup.

Last year in Currie Cup Sharks made finals and got thumped by lions… 42-17… This year sharks made both Finals and lost…

The Lower ranked nations need more Exposure.

Why are the higher ranked nations so strong compared to lower nations?

Answer to that is lack of exposure and game time… You can’t even blame the coaches because coaches don’t get experience. Portugal, Namibia, Japan and USA those teams have the players and potential to be top contenders with South Africa and New Zealand.

If you ask me I’d say that USA has a high population and they have more than enough people to chose from to make great rugby players… So If I were IRB I would say let those teams Compete a series of 3 matches against top contenders and give them advice and coaching clinics.

That is my view on how to expand rugby.

Why are All Blacks so good?

Why are the All Blacks doing better than The Boks? Boks have a gold mine of Talent here….

Reason for the All Blacks Success is because Firstly the coaches Communicate. Look at their Super Rugby teams. They have the same game pattern. Which is why their international players can blend so well. Secondly… They go out and search for new talent yearly and they groom those youngsters.
Thirdly they rotate their players… The All Black team can send out their second team and they will do just as well as their A team.

Now if the Boks did that we would be the number 1 team in the world… The Boks did that in Jake whites days and found Frans Steyn and many more youngsters…

I can answer that for you… Bulls had it stuck in their minds that they will lose the game because Mr price kings park is the shark fortress… Second problem… You can’t up and under the ball in wet weather… That will lead to knock on’s and may as well cost you Ball Possession as well as you will 10 to 1 lose all that field possession…
Sharks were a much better team on the day… The score board said it. 20-3 bulls were undisciplined and could only get a penalty in the 65th minute.

Home or away match is irrelivant…

Why do people or teams worry about home ground advantage in rugby?

To me it doesn’t matter… Only differences are the fields and surface… Sometimes its the weather.

All Blacks are the only team that play with the right mentality… They don’t care where they play… To them you have a field, its 120 meters long (in goal included) and they have posts… Now my question is if All Blacks can win all there home and away matches why can’t the other teams….

To me History is stuck to much in the other teams minds… History is not meant to decide the result on the day. The scores are 0-0 and the better team wins… That’s what decides the result not the history….

Cheetahs thrashed EP Kings 53-14… Kindly enough that was expected by me… Well I wonder what must be going threw SARFU’s Heads right now….

In my mind I say EP kings if Kings Can’t make Currie Cup level what will happen to them in Super Rugby Level. They will be the disgrace to Southern Hemisphere Competition. Well in my mind 24-0 at Halftime should’ve sent the message that they are not ready for Super Rugby or Currie cup for that matter.

Lions are in the Semi Finals of the Currie Cup Cheetahs came last. And kings got thrashed 53-14 shouldn’t that be the drop of the penny in Sarfu’s minds…

Please Watson if u can’t do well enough in promotion Relegation Level then quit rugby.

Currie Cup semis and end of year tour…

There are big games coming along some may say that many teams have points to prove Currie Teams and the big 4 Southern Hemisphere Teams…

For starters Currie Cup… Sharks vs Bulls… One of SA’s Favorite Rivalries… Bulls will want to win because of the poor form they showed they lucky to be in Semis but after smashing the lions 50-19 some may say they are covited favorites…

Lions vs WP some may say this is Lions most important Game… Lions are Religated from Super Rugby and want to play for pride… WP lost many good players so I must say Lions by 7 to 15 points…

End of year tour many say its not important matches… But the end of year tour are the matches when the big 4 especially Argentina will want to make their Mark…

Wales vs Argentina is going to be a big game Argentina may take that game by less than 7 because of passion and they playing current 6 nations champs. Scotland vs New Zealand. All blacks by atleast 20 to 30 points.
France vs Australia… France by less than 10 points because Aus are having in house issues. Ireland vs boks… Boks by between 7 and 10… Reason for that score line to me Ireland have to prove a point… They to me are tougher for the Boks to play than England…
Italy vs New Zealand the all Blacks by between 30 and 50 Italy will be missing Mallet… England vs Argentina. England by 7 to 15… Argentina aren’t strong enough for England. Ireland vs Argentina. Ireland by less than 10… Ireland are stronger than England…
Scotland vs Boks… 20 to 40 for Boks… Scotland are not strong…
Wales vs New Zealand New zealand 20 to 40… Wales fear All Blacks… England vs New Zealand New Zealand atleast 20…
Wales vs Australia… Wales less than 10 (Robbie Deans will get fired)… 24th November England vs Boks…. Boks by Less tha 10… Boks will have had a long season…

These matches are going to lay the platform for 2013…

Variety but lack of coaching.

We have so much choices in the positions but coach doesn’t realise it… We have 4 flyhalves that potencially can be better than King no 10 Dan Carter and aaron Cruden.

Morne Steyn is I say the best Fly Half but every Dog has his bad day… Goosen Is the Up and Coming best he is the one man that to me at the moment along with Elton Jantjies can make Dan Carter lose his No 1 Title… Pat Lambie Is a Utiility Triple Threat… No 10, No 13 and No 15… Where was he…

A very wise man told me that we can beat the All Blacks but we don’t believe it… We got the team… But need the coach.

Disgrace in Super Rugby… SANZAR and KINGS

There are many things u can’t Justify in Rugby… But this takes the cake.

Kings joining Super rugby is not right and SANZAR should know it… Kings aren’t even in premier Curry Cup. Lions are defending Currie Cup Champions and they are being replaced by EP Kings… Honestly that’s not Justice… How can you put a team in after they never even made one Premier Currie Cup championship…

2012 Rugby Championship and other southern hemisphere tournaments

Today I am reflecting on the first ever rubgy championship and other tournaments…

We had a great Super rugby Tournament… Although It wasn’t a South African Team who won… My question is where did the Bulls go wrong? Bulls had a great start thrashing Reds 61-8 and cheatahs… But since then they went down hill… To me the answer to that is lack of depth and consistency… Same with the Stormers… Another team that stood out but fell short in semis are a New Zealand Team Crusaders… They have the players but didn’t seem to have consistency in the closing stages…
Now the next part of my chat is the warm ups for the Rugby Championships… Aus and the Boks looked rather weak for first class teams… Aus didn’t deserve any of their 3 wins over Wales… Boks didn’t look more convincing either 2 wins and a draw over England heading in to the Rugby Championship… All Blacks as always Dominated their opposition win the 60-0 record thrashing over ireland looked to prove their dominance of Rugby…

In the Rugby Championship New Zealand,South Africa, Australia and Argentina contested was more than just rugby… But the team who wanted it more… Boks won their first game 27-6 but didn’t look convincing especially with their draw in the second game… New Zealand beat Aus rather easily in their 2 games especially the second one (22-0)… In the games that came next it looked more energetic… Boks lost their 2 away games because of missed kicks by Morne Steyn… And Australia yet again didn’t look strong nor like they knew what they doing… The games that followed Boks beat Australia with a thrashing 31-8 win but the game to me was sad for Australia dew to injuries and All Black again dominated the Argentines 54-15… Boks lost their next game and Aus won in Argentina…

This years season was great and looking forward to the future… Of rugby…
